german designer mark braun has created a collection of water carafes for the vienna-based glass and chandelier producer J. & L. lobmeyr which emphasis the elements of water and glass. Adobe photoshop photo editor download. exhibiting at this year's vienna design week as a part of the program passionswege, ‘reichtum' (german for ‘wealth') is largely influenced by the characteristics and shapes of austrian bodies of water. using satellite images from google maps as a tool, braun engraves the outlines of lakes, rivers and glaciers found in the country on the body of the glass using a copper wheel. the finished carafes is then filled with the water of the respective body of water, resulting in a series that, for braun, symbolizes the essential wealth of everyday life.
